Genius or Insane megalomaniac Perfectionist?

The Star Wars trilogy finally came out on DVD yesterday.... Hurray!!! but not the original theatrical versions.... Boo!!!!! I'm afraid to say i succumed and bought them (damn my impatience). After watching Star Wars last night i fondly remember the brilliance of it, but all the needless additions almost spoil what is a timeless classic. George Lucas is an arse (obviously that is my own personal opinion not a matter of fact, although some of you may disagree). Why can't the insane fool leave his work alone. I mean i don't mind a bit of re-editing, adding deleted scenes or even slightly tweaking the effects to clean them up or whatever, but the Jabba the Hut added scene where Han walks over his tail is just stupid and so obviously computer enhanced it nearly ruins the whole film. George just leave them alone, you finished them nearly 30 years ago.

As for the prequels, again George Lucas is either a visionary of the digital age and total genius.....or has gone totally insane, thinks he is god and shoot everything on digital film and with computer generated sets just because he can. You decide? All i'll say is "The Phantom Menace"

Well finally another post here after over 6 months absence, so much has happened and has been a busy week last week. Cinema, park, BBQ, Kings of Leon gig, tennis, golf i'm fecking knackered. Also thought i would post a photo i took today, i was experimenting trying to take a photo of a water droplet. Seeing as i did this on my lunch break from work, and i didn't have much time, i'm quite proud of this one.

Gadgets a Go-Go

Well my new A/V setup is coming along now with my fairly new HDTV, which is really good with my 360 and certainly makes a difference when playing, and i have just got an upscaling DVD recorder to make the most of the new TV. All i need now is the new surround sound set up, which i think will wait until after we have moved, or should i say if? Also got a new monitor for my PC as my old on was on its last legs and i though i had better get it while i still have some money. Well at least things do appear to moving along a bit now as we are seeing the solicitor on Friday as having a nightmare trying to get hold of him and reply to any of my emails. So hopefully after tomorrow it will look a bit more like it is all going to work out in time. Would certainly be good to get in before Christmas and get a few things sorted, and i also may need to call upon the help of my dad especially if we have short notice on moving in. Plus we will need some help with decorating. Fingers crossed
